Almost time to go to Florida

It's 10:55 and I am off to bed. I have to get up @ 4am to make sure that we get to the airport on time for our trip to the Magic Kingdom. I hope everyone has a Happy New Year! Be safe.

Christmas morning @ the glovers

Christmas morning was exciting here. Tyler was very patient about opening his gifts. When we got downstairs he opened the door to let the dog. Just as he did he was so surprised to see that Santa brought him a trampoline. It was so heavy that he left it on the back porch in front of the door.

He opened his gifts after the excitement of the trampoline wore off. Some of the highlights were a MP3 player, 2 Wii games, a bike helmet and a volcano kit!! Santa only got him one shirt this year and a jacket. He got a Batman Joker hat that was pretty awesome. Good job Santa.

He also got some walkie talkies. He has always wanted a good set of walkie talkies. He has big plans to give the second one to a friend here in the neighborhood. He wants them to be able to talk back and forth on them. Here he is opening them up....

Stocking was stuffed with junk as usual. He did get some cool magnets ans some multiplication cards.
After we opened gifts it was time to cook breakfast. We do not cook a Christmas dinner, we cook a HUGE breakfast and munch on that all day. My sister and her family came back to have breakfast with us. That was nice. We hung out for a while and then it was off to mom's house for a late lunch. After lunch we went to the movies with my sisters family and some of our friends. Marley & Me was awesome. Then we ended the day at a friends house to exchange gifts before everyone went off on their vacations. It was a pretty good holiday.

Christmas Eve @ the Glovers

Whatever could it be?
Yeah baby!

And a star is born.

Notice any freebies in the box?

Our friends

More freebies. We were not going to exchange gifts with the adults this year. I decided to give everyone gift boxes with some of my freebies. No money was spent so no one could feel bad.

Take the picture already Todd.

Boxes of money. Just what everyone would like to receive.

You have to be smarter than the bag.

Pirates cards.

Clothes!

Shirts with skulls!!!! COOL

Christmas Eve was here at our house. It's been that way for years. My parents, my sister and her family and some good friends of ours came to spend Christmas Eve with us. We had the traditional BBQ beef sandwiches and way to much junk food. We ate, drank coffee and open gifts. The kids played together and as always had fun. Here are a few pics from that night.

Where's Tyler?

This is what a typical afternoon in the Glover house looks like. I come home from work and log on to check my emails and check for any new deals. Daisy Mama jumps up on the bed next to the desk and stares out the window. She will sit there for ever and stare. What's she staring at?? The end of the street. She is waiting for Tyler to get home. The minute she sees him come around the corner from school off she goes......100 miles an hour. Down the stairs and to the front door to meet Tyler. This happens every day!!!! It is so sweet how she just sits there so patiently and waits.

A dog is truly a mans best friend!!!!!

Spend time with mom and dad

I woke up today and saw this list on the table. I have always been one to make lists. I am just crazy this way. Now my baby is also making them. My favorite one is the last thing he put on the list. Spend time with mom and dad. We were going to watch Journey to the center of the earth tonight but Tyler and Todd went to the Coyotes game instead. I love this boy!!!! We all cuddled in bed this morning so I guess that could count!

For Chelsea, Love ya girl!!!

So as you can tell I am into the coupon thing. I have always clipped coupons from the Sunday paper and used them. I go through phases with coupons. It is a lot of work to keep up on all the deals. There was a time when I would clip coupons, go through adds, match the coupons to the stores and then go shopping. That got old. To much work. I did however save lots of money and get lots of things for free. I loved the Walgreen's rebate book. Free stuff every month. About a month ago I started searching on line for coupons and offers. This is the first time I have used the computer for coupons. I was pretty happy with the results. There are a lot of coupons out there. I also discovered that there are people with blogs that love to share their money saving information with others. I was also happy to discover that you don't have to mail the Walgreen's rebate in any more. You can do it right on line. Beautiful!!!! Anyways that is what I have been up to lately. Coupons, rebates, CVS extra bucks and grocery shopping!!

Work sucks. It's so hot and it's about to kill me. I am strong though, I will survive!!!!! They hired a new aide that started the third day of school. After 7 days she quit. A new one started the 29th. I like her. I think we work well together.
Tyler is still happy with the new school. He has made a lot of new friends. On Wednesday he started the Mad Science program after school. He loves science so we sign him up for the program when it comes to the schools.

Last weekend we went camping. We went up near Mormon lake. It's so beautiful up there. We found a new camping place called Gooseberry Springs. I would go there again. Friday and Saturday were wonderful, Sunday was a whole different story. It was the worst day I have ever had camping in my life. It rained all day. Not just a drizzle it was a flood. It rained so hard we could not even pack up to go home. I was so done with it all that I took Tyler and His friend Dylan into the tent and we went to bed at 6:30. The rain, wind and lightening continued through the night. At one point I looked over at Dylan and the tent poles on his side had been blown apart because the wind was blowing so hard. The whole back side was laying an inch from his head. Todd had to get up and go to Patti and Brads tent and wake Brad up. They fixed it and back to bed. The kids never woke up. Then Dylan started coughing so I woke him to give him some cough medicine and before I knew it he was throwing up. He threw up 3x's. The tent was leaking and the whole inside was damp. My pillow was wet and so was my hair. I was freezing and the wind was blowing the wet cold tent on me every 5 minutes. I prayed that some hunter would accidentally shoot me to put me out of my misery. We packed up first light and were on the road home just after nine in the morning.

The kids got to spend some time at the lake. They fished and collected snails.

That about sums it up!!!! Nothing exciting to report. Just livin life..........
