Our Vacation, day four 1/3/09

We thought about what we should do on this day and Hollywood Studios seemed like the best idea. We figured because it was Saturday Magic Kingdom Might be more crowded. Hollywood Studios is where we spend New Years Eve. On our first visit to the park we loved the Rockin Roller Coaster so much we decided to do it again. It is a fast roller coaster that plays Aerosmith music full blast. AWESOME! The whole area around the ride played Aerosmith. We are all fans so we loved it. We rode Tower of Terror New Years Eve so we decided to skip it this day. This park has an Indiana Jones stunt show. It was pretty good. They show how different stunts are done in the movies. They choose audience members to help. It makes it more fun.

There were a few DUMB things in this park as well. #1 The Great Movie Ride #2 Drew Carey's Sounds Dangerous show #3 Journey into Narnia & #4 Voyage of the Little Mermaid show. You may wonder why did we even go to that show. Todd and I decided we were going to see and do everything in each park. There were some things that we did skip because we do have them in California and have seen or done them before...Like Muppet Vision 3D (not for us).

The best show at this park was Lights, Motors, Action! It was a stunt show. It was so cool. We all loved it. They had cars driving around doing stunts & crazy driving. They showed us some of the tricks they use in the movies to get the right shots in car chases and high speed driving scenes. Lots of burning rubber in this show.

We also did Star Tours. I think we are burned out on that one. That may have been our last tour, ever....We also did a studio backlot tour. That was pretty good. We were right in the action with a water and fire scene. No pics. The scene was a tanker on fire and a dam breaking. Water was rushing everywhere even to the tram. We felt the heat from the fire and even got some sprinkles from the water. Tyler took some time out to play in the Honey I shrunk the kids playground. Everything was so large there that it made you feel small. It was a cool play area. A good place to take a break for mom and dad. When it got dark we went to the Osborn family light spectacular. There was a whole street that was decorated. There wee millions of lights. Lights covered each building. Every 20 minutes music played and the whole street danced to the music. This was super cool to see. Everyone was just standing in awe of it. At the end of the music it would snow. If you have ever been to Disneyland you know what I am talking about. During the holidays Disneyland makes it snow on Main right after the fireworks. It's so magical!!

The night ended with Fantasmic. I must say that they have a better Fantasmic area than Disneyland. At the Hollywood Studios they have an area set up on the water with bleachers to watch the show from. So much better on the back. At Disneyland you have to sit on the ground for at least 2 hours to reserve your spot on the concrete to see it. It's awful. But because the show is so good we always find ourselves sitting there waiting. A few years ago Todd and I discovered that if we sit back to back then we could both lean on each other when waiting for shows or fireworks. Try it next time you are sitting on the ground. The show was close to the one in Disneyland. I do think the one in Disneyland is a little better.

When the park closed we headed back to our hotel for some much needed rest. I had to pack everything up because the next morning we were transferring to another resort. Todd went and did some laundry as I packed. We were so tired we hit the sheets and were out.....
